HISTORY is as a clock that tell people their historical, cultural & political time of the day. History is also a compass that people uses to find themselves on the map of human geography.
Black Kids And Afro-centric Schools
It is no secret that black youth are not getting the education that they need in schools that are not afro-centric. When they are placed in schools that meet their cultural needs as well as their educational needs however they are thriving. An education professor from Northwestern University in the USA named Carol Lee started a charter school called the Betty Shabazz Charter School. Each day the students (who are all African-American) begin with a fact about black history, a message that teaches them about having respect for their elders, and a pledge of pride.
Lee states that students do not do well in regular schools because they are faced with racism every day and stereotypes that they must overcome. These barriers are not helping their education at all as they lose focus. Lee also says that people claim that the all-black schools are another form of racism and that they need to look at it from another point of view. Culturally mixed schools do not give the proper attention to each culture that is in attendance at the schools. Everything becomes lumped together and those with a different culture do not get to learn much about their history.
Chicago in the USA is home to a few African-centered schools and they have seen a marked improvement in the students’ performance as opposed to being in a traditional public school. When the students do not have to deal with racism and stereotypes they are able to concentrate more on their studies as opposed to concentrating on figuring out how to belong. It may seem wrong to develop schools that are only made for one culture, but that is because people aren’t looking at it from the perspective of the students who are underperforming in schools. schools is not to block other races and cultures from learning with black students but to strengthen the black community. They aim to send these students off into the world with respect, dignity, and a bright future. Unfortunately this is not what happens for many black students in traditional public schools. The students are taught by black teachers and are able to have role models that have gone through the same things that they are going through and know of the same struggles.
THE BRAINWASHING OF AFRICAN DURING AND AFTER SLAVERY
During the enslavement of the Africans in America they were given a religion that taught them to believe in white deities- a white God, white messiah, white angels and white prophets.
These depictions of “white only” deities were deliberately done to subconsciously indoctrinate the false belief of white divinity [and therefore superiority] upon the minds of the African slaves.
In making the slaves believe in white deities it made them subconsciously believe that their slave masters- also being white- were closer to God—or god like. To protect their positions of white dominance they believe it was necessary to instill the belief of white superiority into the minds of the African slaves.
This white idolizing religious indoctrination process was also used to make the African slaves more loyal to their masters. From the perspective of the slave masters, it made them better slaves.
The effects of that brain washing scheme initially implemented more than four hundred years ago still continues upon the mind of millions of African Americans. It is the reason why you can presently visit many black churches and find its walls stubbornly adorned with pictures of only white deities. This conditioning has been left uncorrected and un-removed for generations.
Even after slavery the brainwashing of African Americans continued.
Presently,as a means of brainwashing African Americans, the version of history given to them was heavily revised to favor the agenda of the ruling white elites while hiding the true brutality of their crimes committed against Blacks throughout history– and in doing so fostered an unrealistic sense of false patriotism used to manufacture Black allegiance to a still racist white government.
Here is the purpose for such a massive brainwashing scheme:
Imagine that an invader broke into a home, robbing and leaving it in ruins. Then the invader kidnapped the children from the home to work as servants within his home. This invader, fearing an eventual retribution from these kidnapped children, may find it necessary to implement systems to ensure these children remain loyal to him.
While the invader, through his militaries could rob and the destroy the home, they cannot win the loyalty, or sustain peace with the children for long unless systems are used to suppress dissent, or unless they can be convinced to grant their consent to be governed.
To protect themselves from retribution the invader would have to maintain strict control of all information given to these children. This would includes within their religious and educational development.
The invader may also find it necessary to retell the events of the invasion. They may do so by routinely showing to the children demoralizing pictures of their ruined former home– while falsely retelling the details of the event. The invaders may revamp the facts of the crime telling these children that they where merely rescued them from a dilapidated home where they were unwanted by their parents. This would cause the children to develop an undeserving sense of loyalty and appreciation towards their kidnapper/invader. The invader may also find it necessary to implement a scheme to divide the children, to prevent them from ever unifying against their invader, by teaching them not to trust each other while simultaneously teaching them to trust only him.
A massive psychological conditioning program consistent with this noted scenario is precisely what is being covertly implemented against African Americans. Presently African Americans are deliberately being given, through totally white controlled media sources, those images of Africa that our intentionally designed to produce shame of their heritage. They are constantly subjected to only those images of a war-torn, famine-ridden, rampantly illiterate, and disease-stricken Africa. These deplorable depictions of Africa displaying only its poorest communities are in fact designed to make African Americans feel grateful that it was their ancestors enslaved and bought to America. They’re being subconsciously told that they’re the lucky ones to have been taken away from the backwardness of Africa.
Its depictions of Africa is also one that misleads many African Americans to believe that most of their African Ancestors easily gave them away to the white invader. Its depictions deliberately hides the brutal massacre of countless of African Warriors that died in battle trying to rescuing their captured love ones. The number of Africans that died in battles fought against the white invaders far exceeded, many times over, the number of any African’s that may have assisted in the slave trade. The hiding of these fierce battles and massacres is deliberately done to perpetuate the falsehood that most African Americans where sold away by their ancestors. This engenders feeling of resentment among many African Americans towards Africans thus meets the objective of divide and conquer. This psychological conditioning is designed to break down African Americans’ sense of Black racial heritage, allegiance and unity.
This psychological conditioning process is also being deliberately done to Black students during their educational development wherein which they’re being taught that they have no significant history beyond the enslavement of their ancestors. Therefore they are being mis-educated to respect and admire white culture and achievements above their own. It also It happens even while Blacks are being entertain by movies depicting mostly white heroes.
The Brainwashing of African American is also being greatly implemented through the totally white controlled national news media.
African Americans are also victims of a massive media driven psychosocial program intentionally designed to instill feelings of racial self contempt and creates disunity among their ranks–as a means of maintaining white dominance.
Here is an example of how this psychological conditioning works: Let us imagine that a crew of people where aboard a massive ship; and that this ship was being shadowed by another neighboring ship –that was constantly broadcasting derogatory messages to the first group. Such messages as that their ship was lesser, smaller, not seaworthy, perhaps slowly sinking or that their crew was incompetent and was planning a mutiny. With time, the group receiving the negative messages, being unable to refute or to confirm these derogatory messages and deficiencies will grow weary and paranoid of the negative messages and will eventually comes to accept these negative assessments of themselves.
The perception created by the taunting now unconsciously influences how the taunted group perceives themselves, subsequently causing them to become distrustful of themselves, doubting themselves, hating themselves and, eventually, fighting among themselves. The taunted group may even become so besieged by deep feelings of inadequacy that they may even jump into the sea and attempt to swim towards the taunting ship now believing it to be superior to their own boat even if their own ship was in fact better.
Within a real life setting this mortifying psychological manipulation is precisely what is being done to African Americans.
The U.S. (totally white controlled) media’s distorted portrayal of Black America that amplifies the negative to the point that it distorts reality is more than just biased media reports. They function as media manipulation psychosocial programs. This program subjects Black people to seeing only the fraudulent worst within themselves. Its anti-black propaganda depictions are designed to engender feelings of self-hatred, self doubt and disunity among its Black population while implying that they trust and respect only whites.
The human mind is like a computer no matter how efficient it may be its reliability is only as great as the information fed into it. If it’s possible to control the input into the human mind, then no matter how intelligent a person may be it is entirely possible to control what he will think.
This media driven program falsely depicts what’s wrong with Black America far more than what we know to be right about Black America to instill the belief within the Black psyche that they need whites to govern over our lives.
Again to protect America’s positions of white dominance the ruling white elites felt it necessary to instill the belief of white superiority into the collective minds of its Black population.
The grossly undeserving and inaccurate white adoring mindset commonly held by many Black people is an intentional designed out come.
This favorable inaccurate perception of whites is because the ruling class whites have of deplored a massive deliberately designed psychological warfare program that has favorably revised their history making their race appear more relevant and lesser inhumane.
.
From their established positions of power, the white race monopolizes all given information. They deliberately disseminate all information that historically and presently implies their white superiority while withholding and suppressing all information that refutes it.
Prominent Western scholars have always found it necessary to revise history erasing African people from all significant events of the world and while making their race appear more relevant and lesser inhumane.
This is all possible because the mass media form for us our image of the world and essentially everything we know—or think we know—about events outside our own neighborhood or circle of acquaintances comes to us via our daily newspaper, our weekly news magazine, our radio, or our television. By employing carefully developed psychological techniques, the mass media guide our thoughts and opinions.
The way in which the news is covered: which point of views are emphasized and which are played down; the phrasing of headlines; the choice of words, pictures, and illustrations—all of these things subliminally and yet profoundly affect the way in which we interpret what we see or hear. The media tell us which side of an issue that we should favor, forms our images of various groups of people. Even our images of ourselves is greatly influenced by what media shows us about our own group.
Given these factor the media has been used for decades by government elites to manipulate public opinion and to socially engineer society towards governmental objectives. Therefore it was logical that the U.S. government elites would use this same well proven method of control against its (greatest organizers, protestors, and fighters of institutionalized white racism) Black population as a means of maintaining its white dominance and control. This media deplored psychosocial program manipulates the minds of the Black masses to admire and love whites while blaming and hating themselves.
Through its suppression of certain news stories that are contrary of the myth of white supremacy and its blatant propagandizing of distorting TV documentaries that deploringly characterizes its Black population, the white controlled media have taken the lead in persuading a whole generation that Black people are the most physically abusive, the most users of drugs, the laziest, the worst parents, the worst children, the lesser intelligent, and have contributed nothing at all to the benefit of society.
This Black mortifying psychosocial program is deplored with both subtlety and thoroughness in its management of the news that is presented to its Black population. Furthermore, it is not distant and impersonal; it reaches into the homes of every African American, working its will during nearly every waking hour. It is the power that shapes and molds the mind and perceptions of virtually every Black citizen, young or old, rich or poor, simple or sophisticated, unknown or famous. For some of its Black victims it can be so detrimental to their psyche that it may even cause them to feel that there is something not quite right about their Black humanity.
“Most human behavior is controlled by images. Images is a factor in how people look at themselves and what they use to reflect themselves. The control of images is a major factor in world power.” Dr. John Henrick Clarke
By permitting the white elites to continue their total control of our news and entertainment media we are doing more than merely giving them a decisive influence on our communities; we also are giving them virtual control of the minds and souls of our people.
This is especially true of our children, whose attitudes and ideas are shaped more by white controlled television and films than by parents, schools, or any other influence.
And although this media psychosocial program is less blatant than those earlier racist systems used in the past against Blacks, its affects are very real and detrimentally. In fact this method is by far the most proficient system ever deployed against America’s black population.
To the detriment of Blacks, this system of applied psychological conditioning has been an extremely effective. It has successfully conditioned many African Americans to not only accept, but in some cases to prefer the dominance of Whites and white institutions over their lives by misleading them to believe that they are, themselves, their own worst enemies. These thoughts when injected into the Black psyche engender an aberration of internalized self contempt that pulverizes Black unity and halts Black upward mobility.
Because whites are controlling most of the information given to we Black people this also allows them to blinded us from truly seeing the collective white psyche as it really is.
The collective White psyche is rarely, if ever examined in particular regarding their predisposition for racism and greed of power. From their positions of power, they examine and label all other races as they see fit, but rarely, if ever do they evaluate themselves or are evaluated by others. The fact is that within the collective white psyche there is a profoundly entrenched predisposition for racism that is matched only by their proclivity for deceit, greed and hunger for power.
While labeling all other races as being savages they have in fact been the most brutally savage throughout history. They alone are the most arrogant and the only race predisposed to racism; all other races have been their enemies or their victims. Their subjugation, murder and exploitation of all other races are unparalleled. Despite possessing a brutal history consumed by unrivaled racism, as well as unjustifiable wars and crimes against humanity the white race is now perceived as being the most ethical and moral racial group of the human family.
As long as it is Whites that are exclusively writing the educational curriculum and keeping the scores on the societal scoreboard they will always give Black people those fraudulent misinformation that implies Black inferiority and their false white superiority. Since information directly influences our thoughts then this process allows them to control our thoughts. It is a method of control used to maintain white dominance by means of mass manipulation.
“Until we break the monopoly the white oppressor has on our Black minds, liberation is not only impossible it is unthinkable”.
How TV commercials destroy the psyche of black children
Television viewership has unfortunately become a mainstay, and one of World favorite pastime activities. We all watch a TV screen at some point in time with friends, family, or by ourselves. However, what’s being subconsciously implanted in our psyche if we engage in passive viewership?
Do we conduct routine critical analysis of not just the TV shows but the commercials that are aired for our consumption? Many people will consider TV commercials to be harmless and innocent in nature. However, we must understand the psychology of consumerism and mercantilism. There is a science to this, and as humans we are creatures of habit and repetition. Repetition gives birth to habit, and habit leads to indoctrination.
The next time you turn on your TV, take out a pencil and notepad. Yes I’m forcing you out of “passive viewership”. These are some exercises I want to share on how to breakdown commercials and extract meaning from them for your household.
The race-ratio
I want you to conduct a race ratio of the actors in all the commercials that you see. How many caucasians do you count compared to blacks, and other groups of color in the commercial? Are all the actor in the commercial white or predominantly white?
Script sculpting
There may be an assortment of races in the commercial. The commercial may be culturally diverse, however, what is the dialogue and role about? If there are black people in the commercial, are they singing, dancing, or associated with some sport? Are the blacks in the commercial being portrayed as being “helped, informed, or enlightened” to some new device, invention, activity, method, or counseling by a lawyer, doctor or altruistic white neighbor?
Are blacks depicted as daring, creative, explorers, discoverers, and experts in equal magnitude of whites? How many commercials will you count with African being conquerors, warriors, kings, descendants of deity-like forces, or have super powers?
How many commercials do you see role reversal in which a black doctor, lawyer, neighbor, or scientist is explaining something new to white patrons or families?
Ethnic Acoustics
I propose a term I thought of called, “ethnic acoustics”. This doesn’t hold true all the time. However, everyone can attest that there have been numerous instances where we can sonically detect the “probable” race of person without their visual presence. This may be due to accent, slang, tonality, inflections, and other forms of verbal manipulation of sound that is customary to specific groups. This isn’t full proof, and shouldn’t be used as evidence in the court of law.
Many times commercials use voice-overs. These type of commercials don’t display the race of the narrator and focuses on the product and service. However, count how many times you think you’re listening to someone who is non-black. Don’t be arrogant and say it can’t be done either, because there are several visually impaired individuals that can perform this exercise with an accuracy in the 90th percentile.
Settings and scenery
What are the settings and scenery of the commercials? How many black women are shown by themselves versus a white family on a sunny day with a dog present, children around and in a park? How many white families are portrayed as homeowners in nice neighborhoods? How often do you see African on hiking trails, bike trails, jogging trails, and peaceful times on the beach, enjoying a leisurely nature stroll, or being serviced with all the amenities and accoutrements of luxury in a hotel, airline, or spa?
Positioning
Okay we may be present in the commercial. However, are we sitting down while being spoken to, are we in the back of a mass of people, are we near last if the commercial has some sequential order, and are blacks on land while white people are in space or some other aerial perspective?
Pressing mute
Another strategy I use in dissecting commercials, is pressing the mute button on my remote. Commercials pick-up a whole new connotation and meaning when it’s just the video component. Sound can be a distraction for other intents and purposes. Have you ever been in a room that you thought was quiet, and someone comes in and turns off the air conditioner? Your senses then become keener to your surroundings.
With the TV on mute, you’re able to perceive more content. You detect the nonverbal communication, establish patterns of dominance and authority in behavior. The target audience of the commercial becomes more clear and elucidated.
I assert that there is underrepresentation of African in TV commercials, and our roles lack initiative, assertiveness, and equity in the portrayal of dominance and control.
Why is this important? I feel this is crucial because advertisement and media subliminally and subconsciously affect kids. What do these commercials tell our kids if they can’t identify with what’s being portrayed and depicted? A substantial portion of a child’s learning is based on observation and modeling. It’s possible that this can foster an inferiority complex in our kids if we don’t filter, counter act, and intervene on what they see. This also means that we need to drastically reduce the amount of television time. We must routinely immerse and expose our children to activities where they see African engaging in positive and productive pursuits.
I say it is the philosophy of “pay me, don’t play me”. This means many companies will gladly take our money but cut ties when incorporating us in the company vision. Lastly, I repeat, we must own our businesses. I can complain and point out media strategy until I’m blue in the face. However, if I don’t own the company, I can’t tell them who to put in their commercials.
